Livigno is well known as the snow safe skiing paradise in Europe. In 2012 Livigno was awarded the World Snow Award for best European Ski Resort. Its altitude and microclima allows for excellent snow conditions and the ski season stretches from beginning of December to end of April each year with 110 km of wide ski runs to enjoy (12 black, 37 red and 29 blue pistes) for all grades of skiers on both sides of the wide and sunny valley(carosello side and mottolino side).
